When Rachel and Steven suggested Tynemouth Beach for their pre-wedding shoot, I knew it would be something special. Their vision was simple: natural moments, a relaxed atmosphere, and photographs that felt authentic to them.

Why Rachel & Steven Chose a Pre-Wedding Shoot

Like many couples planning their wedding, Rachel and Steven wanted to feel comfortable in front of the camera before the big day.

Pre-wedding shoots (sometimes called engagement shoots) are one of the best ways to do this. They allow couples to experience what it feels like to be photographed in a relaxed setting — without the timeline pressures of a wedding day.

For Rachel and Steven, it became an evening about far more than photos.

It was about slowing down together.

Walking along the shoreline.
Laughing between shots.
And getting used to simply being themselves in front of the lens.

By the time we finished, the camera almost disappeared.
